This page covers founding store enquiries and local interactions in the public Buytheway demonstrations. A client’s brand hosted discovery site, store, analytics and customer records are governed by that brand’s privacy notice unless a separate agreement states otherwise.

Who is responsible
BuytheWay is responsible for enquiry information submitted through buytheway.space. For access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal or a grievance, use the secure contact form. The reply to your submitted work email becomes the direct record of that request.
What the form collects
The form stores the work email, store URL and any optional company name, approximate product count and developer availability answer you submit, together with the submission time and fixed request type. Do not send catalogue files through this first contact form.
Spam prevention fingerprint
The service creates a one way SHA 256 fingerprint from the connecting network address and user agent string solely to limit repeated form abuse. The raw network address is not stored with the enquiry. The fingerprint is stored with the enquiry record and is deleted on the same schedule.
Why it is collected
The details are used to evaluate and respond to your Buytheway discovery site enquiry, prevent form abuse and maintain necessary correspondence. They are not sold or used to create unrelated marketing profiles.
How long it is kept
Enquiry records and their spam prevention fingerprints are automatically deleted after 180 days by a daily scheduled database cleanup. Correspondence that continues outside the form is retained only for the active business or legal purpose that applies to it. You may request earlier deletion, correction or consent withdrawal through the contact form.
Service providers
The site and enquiry database are hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. Those providers process the technical data needed to serve the site, protect it from abuse and store accepted enquiries. Processing may occur in locations where those providers operate. Any brand owned analytics added to a client deployment is selected and controlled by that client brand and must be disclosed in its own privacy notice.
Public demonstrations
The public demonstrations are non transactional interface examples. Their local likes or saves do not create a retailer account, order or payment. Where a verified retailer product URL is available, SHOP THIS opens that external product page. The retailer’s own privacy terms then apply.
Local demo state
Likes, saves, the current product and pause preference are stored only in this browser so the demo can recover its state. They are not sent to a retailer account. Clear the site’s browser data to remove them immediately.
Client deployments
The client brand controls its hosted discovery site and shopper analytics. Buytheway receives no shopper information unless separately agreed, contractually documented and disclosed to shoppers.
